Job Title: CNC Miller
Location: Tyne and Wear
Salary: £17.80ph
Hours of work:
Days- (Monday - Thursday) 7am – 5pm ( Friday) classed as overtime paying time and a half,
Overtime available Saturday and Sunday double time pay
Job Type: Permanent
Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking to join an experience engineering company with over 40 years experience in delivering high quality, precision machined components. Specialising in CNC machining, EDM wire erosion and grinding services. We are seeking a skilled professional to set up, operate, and program CNC milling machines, ensuring high-quality, close-tolerance components are produced to exacting standards.
Experience working in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, automotive and defence would be advantageous due to the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities for the CNC Miller:
* Conversant with Mazatrol and Fanuc control panels
* Must be able to fully program at the machine
* 3, 4 and 5 axis machining
* Working on small batch work 20-30 offs
* Working with hand held components
* Experience mainly working with components such as valves
* 12 inch chuck 250ml diameter on the machine
* Must be able to 1st off inspect own work
* Experience working with various materials mainly- stainless steel and Inconel
* Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements for the CNC Miller:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC milling
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in using a wide range of measuring and inspection tools.
* Background in working to tight tolerances and quality control processes.
* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Recognized engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial.
