Shift Pattern: Double Days, Mon to Fri (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm)
We’re supporting our client, a global, leading manufacturer based in Buxton, who are looking for a Toolmaker to join their growing team.
Responsibilities for Toolmaker:
* To undertake such training as required by your supervisor or manager and to assist in the training of others.
* Create and maintain effective relationships with teams, supervisors and other work-based contacts.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of product and service quality.
* Ensure that your actions and the actions of other individuals do not compromise the legal requirements and safety standards.
* Perform your duties in accordance with the Company Manual and other departmental documentation, such as Work Instructions or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Comply with the requirements placed on you by the Safety Management System and the Environmental Management System.
* Perform activities within key operating targets (where appropriate detailed on an attached target sheet).
* Carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team within the general scope and purpose of the job.
* Work to agreed schedules.
* Solve problems technical or procedural
* Be flexible, regarding working hours, when required.
* Ensure the adequate provision of materials to perform activities.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
* Attend to the breakdown and preventative maintenance of all production tooling.
* Manufacture critical spares for tooling and machinery.
* Manufacture various jigs for production and measurement
* Engage in manufacture improvement project work.
* Lead improvement projects for machinery and tooling.
* Ensure full compliance with Company and department rules and a safe working environment for all staff and visitors, both internal and external.
* Report any faulty Toolroom machinery and equipment.
* Provide information on any equipment upgrades that will improve the efficiency of Toolroom operations.
* Report any drawing concerns and/or suggest alternative improvements to drawings.
