Location & Salary
Location: BBV IPT – Birmingham (travel is expected along the BBV line of route).
Salary: Base salary ranging from £41,092 pa to £48,344 pa, depending on skills and experience. A flexible benefits fund of 15% is paid on top of the base salary and is fully pensionable.
Job Purpose
This role supports the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager in maintaining and developing the strategic partnership with National Highways (NH) across HS2, building collaborative relationships that secure effective joint outcomes, maximise opportunity, and mitigate risk.
About the role
* Support the SSPM in managing and promoting the high‑level relationship with NH.
* Manage and promote the relationship with NH at sublot and asset level.
* Coordinate sublot interface meetings between NH & Supply Chain, ensuring compliance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
* Monitor the performance of the Supply Chain’s delivery of NH consents.
* Monitor the readiness of the Supply Chain for strategic road network closures.
* Track the Supply Chain’s performance against NH KPIs.
* Ensure compliance of HS2 and the Supply Chain with NH requirements in the HS2 Act and the NH Memorandum of Understanding.
* Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing across integrated project teams.
* Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) across all work and comply with organisational EDI policies and procedures.

* Understanding of project management aligned to the APM Project Manager (intermediate) level.
* Understanding of interface with National Highways across the HS2 route.
* Knowledge of the consenting environment for National Highways and its delivery within HS2.
* Knowledge of relevant contract structures and appropriate contract and supplier performance systems.
* Knowledge of risk identification and management.
* Knowledge of project schedule management, dependencies, and risk assessment.
