Head of Data Management - National Organisation – Central London / Hybrid - £100k+ (DoE) + benefits
We are on the hunt for an experienced Data Management Specialist, with solid experience in data migration, data warehouses and reporting to join a fabulous organisation based in Central London and head up the Data team.
Joining a well-established and successful organisation, the Head of Data Management will drive the long-term data strategy to ensure a data-centric approach is taken by the entire company.
Suitable candidates will be tech savvy with a keen interest in AI and the ability to grasp new and evolving technology quickly and efficiently. Experience leading data teams is essential for this challenging and fast-paced role.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and delivering the data strategy for the entire organisation
* Managing all data related projects
* Leading a team of data specialists
* Establishing and facilitating suitable data governance framework
* Maintaining data security and mitigating risk
* Supporting GDPR compliance
* Managing data reporting and analytics
* Implementing and managing best practice procedures and good data management
What we’re looking for:
* Extensive senior level experience in data management including data migration, data warehouses and reporting
* Strong team leader experience in a fast-paced, professional services environment
* Excellent technology skills and a keen interest in AI
* A degree / qualification in a relevant subject is advantageous (IT, Computer Science, Information Security etc)
* Data lifecycle management knowledge
* Knowledge and experience of meeting data governance requirements
* Solid knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act
* Excellent project management capabilities
* Strategic and innovative approach
* Excellent communication skills at all levels and with non-technical colleagues
* Forward-thinking and collaborative approach
* Good commercial acumen
* The ability to quickly gain credibility, be a data management expert and influence at a senior level
