Site Engineering Supervisor Location: Middlewich Salary: £47,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Mon–Thurs 07:00–17:00, Fri 07:00–11:30 (Day Shift) We’re looking for a hands-on Site Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of multi-skilled engineers at a Middlewich site. About the Role As Site Engineering Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering the site’s maintenance plan, covering both production assets and key services equipment (boilers, compressors, HVAC, LEV etc). You’ll work closely with Line Leaders and the Operations team to minimise downtime, boost efficiency, and ensure compliance with all statutory and GMP standards. You’ll not only manage planned and reactive maintenance but also lead by example—driving a safety-first culture, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and coaching engineers to develop their skills. In the absence of the Site Manager, you’ll deputise to ensure smooth running of the engineering function. What You’ll Be Doing * Leading and developing a team of engineers * Managing planned maintenance schedules and tracking via CMMS (Shire) * Responding to breakdowns and ensuring timely resolutions * Overseeing statutory inspections and service contracts * Driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and waste reduction * Supporting machinery installation and decommissioning projects * Coaching and training colleagues across engineering and operations * Deputising for the Site Manager when required What We’re Looking For * Time-served Engineering Apprentice with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) * Proven leadership experience in an engineering environment * Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills * Computer literate (Microsoft Office, CMMS systems) * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * Health & Safety mindset with excellent communication skills Desirable qualifications/experience: * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * IOSH Managing Safely (or similar) * Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or above) * FMCG or regulated industry experience * BOAS or boiler operator qualification * DSEAR understanding What’s On Offer * Competitive salary: £47K – £55K (DOE) * Day shifts: no nights required * Company pension, paid holidays, sick pay scheme * Training and professional development opportunities * A collaborative team environment focused on growth and innovation
