Key Responsibilities
* Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support a broad range of learners.
* Mark, assess, and track pupil progress in line with school policies.
* Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and enrichment activities.
* Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
* Manage behaviour according to school policy and maintain clear expectations.
* Provide pastoral support and guidance to students when required.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English.
* Effective behaviour management skills.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
