Role: Area Sales Manager - Public Sector Contracts
Location: An external role covering the South West - Exeter
Sector: Building Materials / Construction Supplies
Package: Circa 35,000 - 40,000 (negotiable) + Bonus + Car + Mon - Fri only
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain relationships with customers in the Public Sector and Housing Associations; understand their needs and provide sterling service.
* Quote on large projects and engage with high-end decision makers as required.
* Work closely with branches in the area to ensure an efficient and smooth operation.
* Develop new business and manage key accounts; drive new business development.
Qualifications
* General merchants products experience required.
* Experience with selling to the Public Sector / Housing Associations.
* Strong sales experience required.
* Experience with Key Account Management.
* Sales experience can be from a previous internal or external role; internal candidates may be a great fit too.
* Assistant Branch Managers / Supervisors would be a great fit as well.
This position is a new division being set up within the Public Sector and Housing Associations with an experienced and successful management team in place. It is a great time to join and be part of the project. With a network of branches, the client supplies a range of building products to the construction sector, the trade, and the retail sector.
