The successful Purchase Ledger Assistant will play a vital responsibility in maintaining accurate financial records, processing purchase invoices, and supporting the company's financial operations. Duties:
* Process high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
* Maintain supplier accounts and ensure all records are current
* Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes
* Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries with suppliers and internal departments
* Support payment runs and month-end activities
* Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
* Assist with ad hoc finance administration tasks as required
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance/accounts administrative role
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritise workload effectively
* Excellent communication skills and team-focused attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Knowledge of automotive industry processes or commercial vehicle accounting is advantageous but not essential
* Relevant accountancy qualification or experience preferred
