Job Title: Modern Methods of Construction Assistant

We're looking for bright and committed graduates who will bring energy, new ideas and a fresh perspective to help us become the recognised leader and transform the construction industry.


Role Overview

A Graduate Construction Manager works at CEMC within the Operations Team as a Modern Methods of Construction Assistant, assisting in the management and delivery of a broad spectrum of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) works.

A Modern Methods of Construction Assistant will work within the Manufacturing team, under the guidance of Senior Production Leaders, Factory Manager and Operations Leader. Delivering alongside site supervisors and engineers, interfacing with a broad spectrum of personnel & functions.

For successful candidates, initial experience will be obtained across all manufacturing processes, working within a breadth of functions in the delivery of major projects, typically broken down into process areas of manufacture.

Modern Methods of Construction Assistants help to ensure the safe and effective delivery of quality projects through interface with Detailing, Technical, Engineering, Procurement, Project Co-ordination, Safety and Quality Functions.

The foundation of Production management competency is for future MMC Leaders and Project Managers, Leaders, and Operational Directors.

Modern methods of construction, incorporating off-site manufacturing solutions, Digital Engineering competence and sustainable technologies are at the forefront of Laing O'Rourke's Project Delivery strategy and CEMC Leadership positions are key to help drive this.


Location

As a project-led business, the location of our work can vary depending on project needs. This role may require you to be prepared to relocate to project sites across the UK.


Degree Subjects

Construction Management or construction related degrees.


Professional Accreditation

Chartered Institute of Building – CIOB

Entry Requirements

We are looking for graduates who meet the following criteria:

1. Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable
2. Full mobility as you may be required to relocate for your role
3. Strong numeracy and literacy skills
4. A degree course with a clear route to professional accreditation
5. Your degree classification should be 2:2 or higher
6. Entry degrees will be listed within each of our graduate vacancies and differ from role to role

The Graduate Development Programme will commence in September 2025.
