 
        
        Data Quality and Governance Manager – Barclays
As a Data Quality and Governance Manager you will be part of the Data Governance and Quality Team, safeguarding customers' data across BUK. You will identify root causes, leverage data to resolve challenges, support data governance processes, and manage critical data elements.
Purpose of the role
Develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the bank's global operations.
Accountabilities
 * Develop and maintain comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements.
 * Monitor data quality and records metrics, ensuring compliance across the organization.
 * Identify and address data and records management risks and gaps.
 * Implement records management programme, ensuring proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval, and disposal of records.
 * Develop and implement data governance strategy aligned with business objectives.
 * Provide group-wide guidance and training on data and records management standard requirements.
Key responsibilities
 * Lead complex data quality investigations, using insights to address customer challenges.
 * Apply data governance, risk management, controls, and data privacy principles.
 * Collaborate with business divisions to influence decision making and policy development.
 * Drive initiatives that improve data accuracy, integrity, and usability.
Qualifications
 * Proven experience using data and insights to address customer challenges.
 * Great problem‑solving skills with a focus on data‑driven solutions.
 * Knowledge of data governance, risk management, or controls.
 * Experience in an Agile environment.
 * Proficiency in data analytics.
 * Understanding of data privacy principles.
