We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Technical Publication Author to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with consultants, advisors, and internal teams to produce accurate, well-structured technical reports and documentation for clients. You will be responsible for ensuring reports are fact-checked, consistent, and clear for both technical and non-technical readers.
What you'll be doing:
* Prepare and review technical reports in collaboration with consultants and advisors.
* Extract and summarise key information from client documents and communications.
* Compile and interpret technical data on client-managed properties.
* Draft safety-related reports using building data, consultant input, and external sources.
* Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and missing evidence in client documentation.
* Edit and proof reports for clarity, structure, and accessibility.
* Fact-check content against source materials to ensure accuracy.
* Update and maintain existing reports with new data.
* Manage document storage with clear file structures and naming conventions.
* Ensure report links, cross-references, and time-sensitive updates are accurate.
* Support the maintenance of live client safety cases.
* Meet deadlines and ensure timely report delivery.
* Contribute to quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and continuous improvement.
About you:
* Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
* Excellent technical writing and communication ability.
* Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Comfortable interpreting complex technical data for varied audiences.
* Previous experience with safety, compliance, or technical reporting is desirable.
* Knowledge of ISO standards or quality management systems is advantageous.
