We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers MG in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, as well as working Saturdays 8.30am to 12.30pm on a rota basis (1 in 3).

We offer excellent basic salaries up to £34,000 with OTEs up to £43,000 plus benefits depending on experience. Role and Responsibilities
* Servicing, repairing, and diagnosing all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring high standards are met first time.
* Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
* Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
* Understand and uphold Customer Satisfaction standards and their impact on the business.
* Operate additional systems such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
* Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
* Collaborate with workshop team members to share knowledge and improve skills.
About You
* Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or similar roles.
* Background in independent garages, fast-fit centres, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is welcome.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or working towards it.
* Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a commitment to high standards.
