LCV Technician

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable LCV Technician to join our busy Normanton workshop. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety and performance standards.
Reports to: Depot Manager
Liaises with: Logistics Supervisor, Hire Desk, Vehicle Mechanics, Hoist Engineers, Drivers, and Head Office staff
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a variety of LCVs
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
* Replace or repair faulty components and parts
* Attend on-site vehicle breakdowns and carry out effective fault rectification
* Accurately complete job details via handheld tablet, including labour time and parts used
* Order and manage parts requirements to support efficient stock control
* Report potential customer recharges to the Depot Manager via the tablet system
* Support other operational areas of the business when required
* Ensure full compliance with company health & safety policies and site safety procedures
* Represent the company in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner
* Follow all company policies as detailed in the Employee Handbook
* Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified LCV Technician
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent qualification)
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure
* Solid understanding of health and safety in the workplace
* Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
