Are you an experienced Adult Lawyer with local government experience and looking for variety and challenge? We are seeking a Senior Adult Lawyer to join our busy Adults, Education and Employment team. You will provide legal advice, support and representation on a varied caseload and work with elected members, senior managers, staff and external clients.
Responsibilities
* Run an extensive caseload of complex legal work in adult safeguarding, covering the Care Act#####4 and the Mental Health Ac#####83.
* Provide high‑level legal services to elected members, senior managers, staff and external clients.
* Represent the council's Directorate in legal matters.
Qualifications
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience of all aspects of the law relating to safeguarding adults, including the Care A#####014 and the Mental Health Act 1983.
