Orion Group is working with a successful and well-established Civil Engineering Contractor to source a Civils Project Manager to join the team based in Northern Scotland.
As the Civils Project Manager, you will oversee the construction of civil engineering projects across renewable energy, highways, and marine sectors. You will be responsible for project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in civil engineering projects, particularly in renewable energy, highways, or marine construction exceeding £10m in value.
* Good understanding of commercial contracts (NEC3/4).
* HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field.
* Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
* Ability to implement quality management processes and conduct inspections and audits.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills.
* Flexibility, agility, and resilience to work at pace.
* Valid UK driving license and ability to travel to remote sites. Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not provided.
Additional beneficial skills:
* Familiarity with heavy civil construction techniques.
* Knowledge of MCHW or National Grid specifications.
* Understanding of the Scottish civil engineering sector.
* Experience working in remote or island locations.
