Meter Read Optimisation Analyst
Permanent - Full time or Part time
Location: Leicester with flexible home working
About your role:
This role is within the Metering & Industry Performance team, part of the Business Excellence function at British Gas Business Energy. The role ensures the business understands its Meter Read process performance, collaborating with customer service and operational teams to set targets, mitigate risks, and optimise performance for better customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Establishing performance routines, monitoring metrics, and setting targets with metering & operations teams
* Analyzing performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending improvements
* Supporting development and implementation of performance initiatives, evaluating costs and benefits
* Monitoring operational performance and change initiatives for effectiveness
* Forecasting performance and setting realistic, challenging goals
* Staying updated on industry trends and best practices
* Building relationships with internal and third-party stakeholders to deliver customer outcomes
What we’re looking for:
* Customer-focused with understanding of operational processes in complex and regulated environments
* Team player capable of building cross-functional relationships and managing stakeholders
* Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills
* Experience with analytical tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI managing large datasets
* Knowledge of industry processes like P196 is beneficial; stakeholder management skills are crucial
