We currently have opportunities for Scaffold Supervisor to join our team at Essar Stanlow Oil Refinery in the North West.
As a scaffold supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out supervisory duties in a manner that complies with the requirements of both Altrad, and our Clients; at all times maintaining a professional attitude and in accordance with all relevant Health & Safety obligations as prescribed by Law; Altrad; Client; and best practise guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
* Have an understanding of company safety policy. Ensure that the policy is adhered to by all employees under their control
* Discuss working methods with the Site team and where necessary consult the company technical/safety department to determine adequate safe systems of work
* Identify and escalation any significant risk to health and safety of employees or third parties who may be affected by the company’s operations
* Ensure that no employees are exposed to any hazardous substances or environments without suitable and sufficient controls put in place
* Ensure that nobody under their control carries out a task for which they have not been adequately trained
* Ensure Cape and British Energy PPE compliance at all times (Client Specific)
* Ensure that operations are carried out to meet the demands of the client, in a cost‑effective manner
* Ensure that all relevant documentation is in place in accordance with work week, project and outage procedures
* Initiate and participate in pre‑job briefs and toolbox talks
* Assess the pre‑job risk assessments carried out by chargehands, to ensure sufficient controls/protections are in place and that potential hazards are eliminated
* Plan and maintain a good housekeeping regime, ensuring that working areas are in a clean and tidy condition at all times
* Completes Daily Allocation sheets in line with scope of works
* Monitoring hours & timesheet completion
* Inspect workforce at regular intervals during the day, to ensure compliance and high standards
* Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the Site Manager
* Provide daily updates to the planner and site manager on progress of all work under their supervision
* Attend all relevant planning, safety and operational meetings
* Ensure allocation sheets compliance
Qualifications and Experience
* Computer literate
* Experienced oil and gas background
* CCNSG Card Holder
* CISRS / CITB Part 2
* CISRS / CITB Advanced
* SSTS/SMSTS
* Confined Spaces preferred
* Face‑Fit preferred
* IOSH / NEBOSH
