Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families through effective communication.
* Follow individual care plans to ensure that each client's specific needs are met.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve care practices.
* Support clients in engaging with their community and encourage participation in social activities.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
* Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients; a valid driving licence is required.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care records is advantageous.
* A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and improving the lives of others.
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
