Rent Setting & Service Charge Officer (Fixed-term Contract / Secondment)
Due to a recent internal move, our Housing Services team is hiring a Rent Setting & Service Charge Officer for an approximate 9‑month fixed‑term contract.
You will be joining the Rent Setting team at a busy time as we review and set our organisational annual rents and service charges. As part of a small dedicated team, you will help coordinate rent and service charge setting, ensuring our 70,000 tenants (shared owners, leaseholders, and freeholders) are informed of upcoming changes.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Responding to a high volume of rent/service charge queries, in writing and/or over the phone, from tenants and internal colleagues received through a central inbox.
* Coordinating timely responses to tenant queries and complaints by liaising with a variety of internal teams.
* Using Power BI reports and Excel to calculate accurate service charges.
* Coordinating mail merges to tenants.
* Providing guidance and support to managers and colleagues on rent and service charges.

Ideal Candidate
* Working knowledge of legislation affecting rents and service charges in the social housing sector.
* Significant experience using Excel to review data and produce accurate calculations, using functions such as XLOOKUP.
* Experience of letter writing and coordinating responses to customer queries in writing and over the phone.
* Broad experience with a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and in‑house systems to successfully deliver your role.
In this role you can expect to work alongside the team in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home.
