HGV Class 1 Driver – Multi-Drop – Riddings, Alfreton People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Riddings, alfreton This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent day-shift work. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver. Shifts • Monday to Friday (weekend work available) • Various shifts available, early mornings, days, nights. Nights paid at a 20% premium Rates of Pay • £15.40 per hour (Monday to Friday days) • £18.48 per hour (Monday to Friday nights) Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Ongoing work with temporary to permanent opportunties • Weekly pay • Your own vehicle from day one • Training provided, great induction programme • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Class 1 multi-drop deliveries, general haulage, delivering palletised goods • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Assisting with loading and unloading when required, both curtian side and back loaders vehicles Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles, minimum one year.
