Description
* Assisting client manager with the delivery of statutory accounts, MI, and tax returns.
* Performing ad-hoc bookkeeping duties.
* Working directly with client managers.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing annual financial statements ensuring compliance with current reporting standards, for review by manager/partner.
* Preparing supporting accounting schedules and reconciliations, obtaining relevant documentation to evidence amounts in the financial statements.
* Maintaining confidentiality as a Data Processor in accordance with GDPR.
* Identifying potential problems or areas of risk and proactively addressing them or reporting as appropriate.
* Preparing basic tax computations and schedules, with assistance from the tax department for more complex situations, for inclusion in the financial statements.
* Preparing finalisation meeting agendas to highlight discussion points with clients.
* Ensuring all relevant submissions to Companies House and HMRC are completed before deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Minimum 4 years of experience.
* Part-qualified ACCA/ICEAW.
* Experience with Statutory Accounts FRIS102(1a).
* Knowledge of Corporation Tax and Personal Tax.
* Experience with management accounts.
* Good understanding of VAT.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Experience with bookkeeping platforms such as Xero and Sage.
* CCH experience is preferred, but training will be provided.
