GSL Education are looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with SEN in a Key Stage 1 class at a well regarded primary school in the Brentwood area. This role is full time, starting in January 2026. The Role: Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with SEN in KS1, helping them access the curriculum effectively. Support academic, social, and emotional development in line with individual learning plans. Assist with classroom activities, encouraging independence and confidence. Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure consistency and progress. Implement strategies to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Monitor and provide feedback on pupil progress. The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for helping children thrive. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Confident in following care plans and support strategies.
