Who are we?
Rent a Keg is a small, family-run business based in Edenbridge, Kent, established in 2004 to fill a niche in the events market delivering kegs and installing taps for private and corporate parties. Since then, the business has grown from strength to strength, expanding into exhibitions and corporate offices with permanent taps.
We pride ourselves on being a small but highly efficient team, delivering our bespoke products to exciting venues across London and the South East – from 5-star hotels to famous corporations and the occasional celebrity party.
The Role
We are looking for an organised, motivated and hands-on individual to take ownership of key operational and administrative duties within the business. The role is primarily based at our office and yard in Edenbridge, though you will also play a customer-facing part when required.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Weekend shifts are rare, but where required, these are operated on a time-in-lieu basis, but paid at an increased rate.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and sending quotes to customers
* Ordering beer, gas, and consumables
* Basic stock management and control
* Planning routes and logistics for deliveries and installations
* Customer service and support, both via email/phone and face-to-face when required
* Assisting in the yard with stock preparation and organisation
* Lifting and moving kegs and equipment as part of day-to-day duties
Who the role would suit
The position would suit someone who is highly organised, strong with administration and IT, and enjoys a varied workload. You will be an essential part of the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, while also being fit and capable of handling the physical side of the job.
Key Skills & Requirements
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and general software proficiency essential)
* Good administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to plan, multitask and problem-solve
* Must be physically fit and able to lift kegs regularly
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Prior experience in logistics, operations or customer service desirable, although training will be provided for the right candidate with transferable skills
