Westminster Under School is a friendly and welcoming place to work, with a real sense of community. Staff members quickly become part of the rhythm of life, both inside and outside the classroom. Social events are regular and varied, with plenty of opportunity to socialise outside working hours. Support staff as much as teaching staff are encouraged to embrace the School’s day-to-day activities, whether that be attending a concert or a sports fixture.
The Sports Department at the School is busy and exciting. Pupils in Years 3 to 5 have three hours of Games per week and those in Years 6 to 8 have four hours of Games per week.
The role
Westminster Under School is looking to appoint a Sports Coach to support the development and delivery of an effective sports coaching programme, working with players in Years 3 to 8. The coach will be fully involved in all fixtures and training sessions during the week, including Games afternoons. They will report directly to the Director of Sport at the Under School.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in at least two of our core sports; football, hockey, and cricket. They will hold the requisite coaching qualifications and will have coached within a school environment. Excellent communication skills and an ability to lead by example and inspire others are key to this role.
This is a part-time and term-time only role. The successful applicant will work on Mondays and Wednesdays.
