Social Care Facilitator – Adult Safeguarding Team
Location: Birmingham City Council (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Pay: £12.19 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, initial 3-month contract with potential to extend
We’re looking for a Social Care Facilitator to support the Adults Safeguarding team. In this fast-paced role, you’ll assess safeguarding referrals for vulnerable adults, whether they’re living at home or in care homes. This is a hybrid position with 2 days per week in the office, and you may be required to carry out visits where necessary to help investigate safeguarding concerns.
Key responsibilities:
* Reviewing and assessing adult safeguarding referrals
* Supporting the safeguarding process in line with legislation and best practice
* Liaising with professionals and services to ensure appropriate action is taken
* Conducting visits where required to support investigations
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working in adult social care
* A strong understanding of safeguarding processes and legislation
* Confidence in risk assessment and decision-making
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage a busy caseload
