£20 per hour (approx. £39k salary equivalent)

We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Technician/Plumber to join a leading FM provider, supporting critical healthcare facilities across Glasgow.
You'll be part of a skilled maintenance team ensuring the safe and continuous operation of mechanical building systems within a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:
Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a variety of hospital building services.
Undertake repairs, minor works and variations (AHUs, calorifiers, heat stations, water systems, medical gases, pressure systems, legionella control etc.).
Respond promptly to unplanned events in line with SLA requirements.
Produce accurate risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work documentation.
Maintain detailed work reports, task assessments, and test certificates.
Work safely to EQUANS requirements, including SHTM standards, LV/Mechanical/Pressure/Confined Space rules.
Support overtime and out-of-hours work when required.
Participate in the on-call rota (additional remuneration provided).
Liaise professionally with NHS staff, contractors, and colleagues.The successful Mechanical Technician will have:
Completed recognised plumbing apprenticeship.
Minimum 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance.
