I am currently seeking an Information Governance and Data Protection Locum for a large public sector organisation based in the Birmingham area. Candidates must have a demonstrable background in UK GDPR and data protection compliance.
This role will be varied and will give the successful Information Governance Locum exposure to all areas of privacy and information governance law. Daily responsibilities may include:
* Advising internal and external clients on information governance
* Liaising with directors and stakeholders
* Writing and implementing policies
* Amending and drafting bespoke data sharing agreements
* Advising on all types of Access to Information requests, complaints and appeals to the regulator
* Supporting the Data Protection Officer and Corporate Information Management team to drafting UK GDPR-compliant contracts
It is essential that applicants have previous experience working in a similar role, and have a track record of advising on the legal implication and risks involved in GDPR and Data Protection matters.
This is a full time position to begin immediately for an initial period of 6 months, although there is scope for the role to become more long-term.
I encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively please contact Kate Jasper in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
