Employment Type: Seasonal (Summer) – Full Time / Part Time hours available
Salary: Minimum Wage
Shift Patterns: Mon – Fri / Weekends / Bank Holidays / Days

About the role:
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at our leisure centre. As a lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests while they enjoy our aquatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Being a team player and understanding the value of teamwork
* Maintaining a concentrated observation of the pool and pool users, to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all swimmers.
* Follow all relevant legislation including Health & Safety, Hygiene, First Aid and Fire Evacuation.
* Observing all RLSS requirements
* Ensuring safety of customers and other team members and security of equipment.
* Carry out rescues and initiate emergency action where necessary.
* Ensuring paperwork is completed neatly and accurately within specified deadlines.
* Report all potential accidents and near misses.
* Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool and associated areas, including toilets and changing areas.
* To undertake and organise activities contained within the sports resorts programme or water resorts programme.
Experience / Skills Required:
* Must hold relevant NPLQ, First Aid and CPR / AED qualifications
* Strong swimming skills and the ability to perform rescues if necessary
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact / engage with guests of all ages.
* Compliance management skills to ensure pool rules are regulations are adhered to at all times
* Must be at least 17 years old
