We are seeking an Autism Support Practitioner to work in a school setting in Chester, supporting pupils with Autism. This role involves providing structured, consistent support to help pupils access learning, manage sensory needs, and develop social and communication skills.
You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support strategies, promote independence, and create a calm, predictable learning environment tailored to each pupil’s needs.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, understanding, and committed to improving outcomes for autistic children.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience supporting children or young people with autism
• Understand sensory processing and communication differences
• Be patient, consistent, and adaptable in their approach
• Use positive behaviour and visual support strategies
• Be dedicated to safeguarding and inclusive education
