A client within the Public Sector based in Wa rwickshire is currently recruiting for a Customer Services Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a customer service environment. The Role The key purpose of the role is to assist in the provision of a high quality, customer-focused service to all customers contacting the Council both externally and internally, ensuring as many enquiries and service requests as possible are resolved at the first point of contact to maximise customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the Customer Service Centre. • Responding to customer enquiries by telephone, email, post and in person. • Assisting customers with self-service facilities such as online forms and payment kiosks. • Maintaining accurate records and updating CRM systems with customer interactions. • Handling cash and other payments in line with Council financial procedures. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: • A good standard of general education to at least GCSE level (or equivalent). • Experience of working directly with the public or in a customer service environment. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and CRM or administrative systems. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally. • Good organisational skills and attention to detail. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £15.66 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £12.65 per hour PAYE).
