You will be responsible for the livestock area, but you will be part of the wider farm team and wider team on site. You may help out other people elsewhere in the group of companies. Responsibilities: Daily maintenance checks Managing Cattle on cattle management software (Agri-Webb) Compiling weekly emails & gathering information for KPI meetings Filing and organisation of farm records (Cattle, machinery repairs, daily checks, ETC) Keep all governing body records up to date (Red tractor, Vet’s & BCMS) Setting out feeding plans & cattle movements Tractor & trailer work Telehandler work Stock inspections Manage cattle at housing Mucking out and disinfecting cattle sheds Carry out maintenance of simple repairs to cattle sheds, yard and machinery Work as part of a team to ensure daily routines are carried out effectively Carry out daily feeding Herding & handling of livestock Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures. Qualifications/experience 1 years’ experience of tractor driving (Preferred but not essential) Previous experience of tractor driving & telehandler (Preferred but not essential) Previous experience of working with livestock is essential. Full clean driving licence Skills Computer literate with a working understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) Good oral and written communication skills Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision Good communication & interpersonal skills Ability to work alone or as part of a team Able to work well under pressure to exacting standards Ability to learn new skills Flexible and adaptable Ability to follow instructions Able to work as part of a team to meet the business’ objectives *The above list is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
