We are looking for a Part-time Care Assistent to join our team in a residential care home in Monasterevin, Co Kildare
***Working pattern Monday to Sunday, day and night shifts***
Average 20 hours per hours per week,
Job Description:
* Assisting residents with their hygiene needs, such as bathing,foot spas, hair care, dressing and undressing.
* Serving meals to clients who require assistance at mealtimes.
* Ensure dietary needs are adhered to, including special diets and supplementary drinks, under the direction of the nursing staff. Report if any client is not eating/drinking.
* Assisting the nursing staff to turn and re-position. Help those who need help with walking and limb exercises as directed.
* Assisting clients to maintain their wardrobes and personal space as needed, including light cleaning, bed making and disposal of rubbish.
* Escorting clients as requested to appointments or shopping trips.
* Reporting to the nursing staff any changes observed in clients e.g. pain, skin changes or weight loss.
* Disposal of waste, including clinical waste.
Requirements:
* Level 5 in Care Assistant
* Experience in a similar role
* Good working knowledge of English
* Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices
* Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
* Garda vetting is required.
