Reporting to the Technical Training Manager, the Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering technical training to engineers worldwide, creating and updating training materials, supporting complex technical cases and will be located predominantly in our office in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, with up to 30% travel (2-3 annual long-haul trips up to 2 weeks duration and regular UK/European short-haul visits).
In this role, a typical day will look like:
* Deliver technical training (face-to-face and online) on Linx product installation, fault-finding, and maintenance
* Create and update training materials, including presentations and digital content for new product launches (e.g., inkjet, laser, impulse jet systems)
* Support Technical Support team with complex technical inquiries from distributors
* Maintain accurate training records and issue certificates for completed courses
* Collaborate on engineering projects to develop training for new products
* Measure success through distributor feedback and number of training sessions delivered annually
The essential requirements of the job include:
* Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time and to work from our office at St Ives.
* Electrical and/or mechanical engineering technical background (and relevant degree, HND/HNC)
* +5 years of experience as a Technical Trainer
* Highly customer focused, attention to detail, planning & organisational skills, MS Office
* Coding & marking industry knowledge, and digital content creation skills are useful but not critical
