Following a significant new order, they are seeking two Mechanical Assemblers to support the build and assembly of a new product line during a critical phase of growth. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced startup environment, ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical assembly, building products from component level, and working closely with engineers to support the development of new manufacturing processes. Mechanical Assembler Benefits Salary of up to £14.50 per hour Hours – Monday to Friday days, no weekends or bank holidays (flexi Flexible start times (8:00am, 8:30am or 9:00am) Opportunity to work on an innovative new product line Hands-on involvement within a growing technology business Modern workshop and manufacturing environment Potential contract extension opportunities 28 days holiday Pension Mechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities Carrying out mechanical assembly of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment Building products from engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and work procedures Supporting prototype and low-volume manufacturing activities within a workshop environment Assembling mechanical components accurately and efficiently to meet quality and production requirements Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process Identifying and reporting assembly, component, or product quality issues to engineering teams Supporting testing, adjustment, and final preparation of products prior to dispatch Packing and preparing completed products for shipment to customers Assisting with the setup and organisation of workstations, assembly areas, and manufacturing processes Supporting engineers with product improvements, assembly feedback, and manufacturing development activities Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and health & safety within the workshop Working closely with engineers and production teams to support delivery of customer orders Experience & Skills Required Previous mechanical assembly experience within manufacturing, engineering, or workshop environments Experience within engineering, fabrication, automotive, aerospace, or specialist manufacturing environments Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, or technical work procedures Experience carrying out quality checks and inspections on assembled products Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Good practical and problem-solving skills Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving startup environment Desirable but Not Essential Experience working on prototype products or low-volume manufacturing projects Experience supporting packing, dispatch, or final product preparation activities If you are interested and have the relevant experience, please apply with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
