Purpose of Role
VINCI Facilities is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer, or a Senior Electrical Engineer ready to progress into an Authorised Person (AP) role, to support the safe operation and long term reliability of electrical systems across high security Defence sites in the South East.
Job Description
You will be entrusted with the operational control, safety and compliance of HV and LV electrical systems across designated Defence locations.
You will work as part of a collaborative and highly professional engineering team, combining hands on technical expertise with leadership and decision making. VINCI Facilities will support your development through ongoing training, mentoring and continued professional development, enabling you to grow your capability and influence within a global organisation.
Responsibilities
•Act as Authorised Person (Electrical) in accordance with JSPs, HSGs, and site-specific rules
•Ensure safe systems of work for all electrical activities
•Manage HV and LV electrical systems, including isolations and permits
•Provide technical leadership to Skilled and Competent Persons
•Support planned, reactive, and project maintenance activities
Essential Qualifications/Skills
•Extensive electrical engineering experience
•Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BS7671)
•Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance
•Full UK driving licence
•Full AP training provided if required
