We are a charming 35-bedroom hotel located in Thame, Oxfordshire, renowned for our exceptional hospitality and Great Location. Our venue boasts three versatile function rooms, including a spacious room accommodating up to 160 guests, making us a premier destination for conferences, banquets, weddings, and events.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Conference and Banqueting Coordinator to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding events, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and event management.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and execute conferences, banquets, and events in our three function rooms.
* Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and tailor events to their needs.
* Work closely with the kitchen, front-of-house, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
* Manage bookings, prepare function sheets, and oversee event setups.
* Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
* Handle administrative tasks, including contracts, invoicing, and post-event follow-ups.
* Assist in promoting our event spaces to attract new business.
About You
* Experience: Previous experience in conference, banqueting, or event coordination is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
* A proactive, can-do attitude with a keen eye for detail.
* Working Monday to Friday 9-5, however there maybe occasion to work out of these times.
* Knowledge of the hospitality industry and familiarity with the Thame, Oxfordshire area is a plus.
