As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead a team of around 14 multi‑skilled technicians covering HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Building, and Refrigeration. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Property and our trusted external contractors to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑performing maintenance operations, placing community, customer, and planet at the heart of everything you do.

Responsibilities
* Building strong, effective relationships and communicating clearly with key stakeholders across all functions.
* Working day‑to‑day with Store Retail Managers and attending SD and AM meetings to support operational delivery.
* Driving change across the business to consistently improve performance and productivity, achieving strong year‑on‑year results.
* Leading proactive problem‑solving by identifying key issues and implementing effective, sustainable solutions.
* Managing team workload and capacity to ensure delivery against priorities.
* Forecasting and controlling budgets effectively, with a strong focus on cost management.
* Managing contractor performance locally to ensure high standards and first‑time fixes.
* Collaborating across the business to co‑develop solutions that are owned and embedded at a local level.
* Developing, leading, and coaching a high‑performing team, empowering individuals to perform at their best.
* Using insight and data to shape strategic thinking and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Acting as a custodian of Health and Safety, ensuring best practice is embedded in everything you do.
* Championing diversity and inclusion across your team.
* Delivering KPIs and implementing robust improvement plans where targets are not met.
* Managing escalations effectively and professionally.
* Ensuring all legal and compliance standards are met as a minimum and exceeded where possible.
* Delivering a strong and consistent brand presence through team presentation, uniforms, vans, and work standards.
* Driving team capability through the Maintenance Pathway to meet required business standards.
Qualifications
* Strong communication and stakeholder management
* Proven ability to lead a diverse, remote workforce
* Ability to build effective internal and external networks
* Data analysis skills to support timely, informed decision‑making
* Financial competence and budget management
* Strong computer literacy, including EAM systems and Office 365
* Change management capability
* Structured problem‑solving and root cause analysis
* Influencing and negotiation skills
* Previous technical and maintenance engineering experience
* Experience working within a large‑scale, remote facilities or maintenance environment
* Demonstrated success in people leadership, development, and performance delivery
