The Role As an Experienced Support Worker, you will provide hands-on care and support to service users, ensuring their wellbeing, independence, and safety. You will work closely with other professionals and may lead a small team, ensuring that all care is delivered to the highest standard. Responsibilities You will: Deliver person-centred, non-discriminatory care based on individual care plans. Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support with daily living skills: cooking, cleaning, shopping, managing finances. Monitor health and wellbeing, assist with medication administration. Provide emotional support and encourage independence. Maintain accurate records and report any concerns promptly. Advocate for service users rights and choices. Work collaboratively as part of a team and follow company policies. Skills, Experience & Abilities Required You will have: 612 months experience in a support worker or similar care role. Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, dementia, or physical disabilities. Strong communication skills to engage with service users, families, and professionals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organisational and basic numerical skills for daily living support. Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and safeguarding. Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain). Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification, or willingness to work towards. Desirable First Aid, Medication Administration, or PMVA training. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and abuse recognition. Additional Information Flexible hours and willingness to work out-of-hours. Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) and Class 1 business insurance required. Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
