EduTalent Group are proud to be supporting a busy and forward-thinking school in Tunbridge Wells, seeking a proactive and organised Business Admin Officer to join their team.
The successful candidate will be a friendly and efficient first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the school. You will provide vital administrative support, manage communications, and help maintain an organised and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a professional reception service, managing telephone calls, emails, and enquiries.
* Maintain accurate records for staff, students, and visitors.
* Handle incoming and outgoing post, photocopying, filing, and document distribution.
* Monitor and order stationery, school supplies, and equipment.
* Support student records in SIMS, track absences, and assist with reporting.
* Collect, log, and manage payments for school trips, clubs, and uniforms.
* Coordinate bookings for school vehicles, equipment, and resources.
* Assist with exams, parent evenings, and other school events.
* Prepare reports, letters, and minutes from meetings.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and school policies.
* Participate in training, appraisal, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Essential:
* Experience in administrative work within a busy office or school environment.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) with accurate keyboard skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection principles.
* Flexible, solution-focused, and able to take initiative.
Desirable:
* Experience with SIMS and FMS6 (school management and finance systems).
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.
