Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients as they arrive and assist them with the check-in process
* Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently
* Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and care
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations
* Process patient registrations and insurance information accurately
* Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
* Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Skills
* Previous office experience is essential, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting
* Strong administrative experience, demonstrating proficiency in handling various clerical tasks
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour
* Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
* Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones
* Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not required
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
