Overview

We are expanding with growth plans and opening 3 new centres across Luton, Norwich and Peterborough. We are recruiting 6 new roles to support the openings. As a Centre Manager at LCG, you will lead your team to outstanding results, drive excellence in teaching and learning, ensure sessions are interactive and well planned, and keep learners at the centre of everything we do, ensuring they are motivated, inspired and successful.

Duties


Leadership & Management

* Take the lead on all centre administration as per the Operational Excellence Framework (OEF).
* Manage returns including: Weekly Checks / Returns – ICT, Registers, Bursary, Programme, Asset Returns, TAM, Staff Recruitment, Welfare, Facebook, MD Memo, Quality, FCA System.


Teaching & Learning

* Ensure you and your staff keep up to date with subject knowledge to ensure lessons are challenging.
* Keep industrial knowledge up to date by attending a range of events annually (Reserve Training Camps/Events, Look at Life, Familiarisation with Acquaint Days, Assessment Centre’s).
* Promote MPCT/Learning Curve Group values during all lessons.
* Use assessment to inform learners on how to improve their knowledge.
* Ensure learning is systematically checked for effective learning; provide timely support with notable improvement.
* Prepare demanding lessons to enable learners to realise their potential; deliver curriculum on physical and emotional wellbeing.
* Ensure resources reflect and value learner diversity and provide understanding of people and communities beyond their immediate experience.
* Identify learners who are falling behind and enable all to catch up.
* Set challenging individual targets for all learners.
* Support development of Maths & English with all learners.
* Ensure all work experience is tracked via the FCA in England to confirm learner engagement with partner employers.
* Deliver learner induction and interview potential new recruits.
* Keep the MPCT MIS Inspire up to date with learner details and tracking of performance, qualifications, attendance and progressions.
* Ensure progress reviews are completed to support educational development.
* Deliver physical training using the MPCT bib system; ensure appropriate intensity.
* Deliver Military Training (MTD) following the military skills portfolios scheme of work.
* Listen to the views of learners and parents to improve teaching and learning.
* Attend regular training on teaching and learning provided by MPCT / Learning Curve Group.

* Provide an environment that encourages respectful discussion and debate among learners.
* Celebrate learner achievements to positively impact attitude to learning.
* Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice and guidance as part of everyday role.
* Conduct role in line with company values and expected behaviours.
* Comply with Safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety Policies; be vigilant to potential concerns and risks.
* Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.


What does success look like?

As a Centre Manager you are expected to commit unwaveringly to high expectations for conduct and achievement from all staff and learners within your centre. This will be measured by 6 Key Performance Indicators: Engagement 90%, Attendance 90%, Retention 90%, Qualifications 90%, Progressions 90%, Military Progressions 40%.
