Position: Operations Controller
Location: Ryton, Coventry (CV8)
Grade: RCS. M
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-17:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Support the Supply Chain Support Manager on all projects, including data extraction and analysis, supplier quote obtainment, and commercial negotiations
* Manage supplier relationships against agreed service levels and financial commitments, ensuring performance standards are met
* Actively contact suppliers via phone and email to chase open orders, resolve discrepancies, and correct order issues in a timely manner
* Provide first level support to Customer Services teams, handling escalations relating to supplier performance and service issues
* Obtain commodity pricing from suppliers on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis; analyse trends and negotiate improvements where applicable
* Produce accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to support the Senior Management Team in decision making
* Conduct regular market analysis to keep the team informed of changes in pricing, supplier activity, and market dynamics
* Support pricing activities for new and existing services to ensure maximum value is achieved at all times
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Previous experience within Waste & Recycling industry/Supply Chain industry would be desirable
* Previous Key Account Management/Account Service/Supplier Management experience would be beneficial
* Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a pressurised and highly time sensitive environment
* Proven attention to detail skills and ability to prioritise workloads
* Computer literate with excellent PC Skills (Excel - Look ups, Formulas), Microsoft packages
