An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established and reputable engineering business in Wetherby. Working within a busy machine shop, you will manufacture high-quality precision components, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to customer specifications.
As a CNC Miller, your responsibilities will include:
Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines (HAAS) using Fanuc controls
Interpreting engineering drawings, and job specifications to produce components to tight tolerances
Selecting correct tooling, setting offsets and ensuring machine capability is optimised
Producing one-off and small batch precision components to a high standard
Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring equipment
Editing programmes at the machine to improve efficiency and resolve issues
Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to maintain quality and productivity
Working to production schedules and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area in line with health & safety standards
Collaborating with colleagues across production and engineering to ensure smooth workflow
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in CNC milling (setting, operating and ideally programming)
Strong working knowledge of Fanuc control systems
Experience working with HAAS machines (highly advantageous)Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis milling
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances
Confident selecting tooling, setting offsets and making programme adjustments
Understanding of inspection processes and use of measuring equipment
Experience working with a range of materials (steel, alloys or similar) Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively

Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience
25 days holiday + bank holidays
4 day working week Monday to Thursday (7:30am - 5:30pm)
