An exciting permanent post has arisen to become a member of the Research and Development team who provide support in all aspects of research initiatives for organisational wide staff in order to manage, with the support of the Research and Development Manager, the Research Governance processes and quality assurance processes on behalf of the Research and Development Office and thereby ensure that the Research Governance requirements are fulfilled. The post holder will ensure that all new research projects are reviewed, audited and monitored on a timely basis and obtain the regulatory approvals as defined by policies, protocols and procedures. They will plan and organise complex programmes of monitoring progress reports and final reports, record the data obtained from the reports and disseminate this in reports to the R&D group. They will undertake appropriate auditing and monitoring to ensure the controls assurance standards require that all research projects are carried out in line with their research proposal and in line with the Research Governance for Health and Social Care, for the duration of the life of each project. They will write and update policies and standard operating procedures.
Main duties of the job
* To support and deputise for the R&D manager in the daily management of the R&D Department including deputising at internal, regional, and national meetings where necessary.
* Support the R&D manager with the management of the R&D department, including day to day management of R&D administrative staff and ensuring effective research governance systems are in place.
