Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 basic
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Contract: Full-time, permanent
No weekend work
About the Role
A highly respected independent 4x4 specialist in Lewes is expanding and opening a brand-new workshop, creating a rare opportunity for a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a close-knit, family-run team.
This is a hands-on role in a modern, purpose-built workshop where your skills and contributions are valued. You'll work on British 4x4 vehicles, from routine servicing to advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, while helping to establish and grow the new Lewes workshop.
Diagnostics training is preferred, but all skilled technicians with a passion for 4x4s are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing, maintenance, and repairs on 4x4 vehicles
* Advanced diagnostics and fault-finding (preferred)
* Mechanical and electrical repairs
* Supporting high standards and workshop efficiency
* Assisting in the setup and growth of the new Brighton workshop
About You
* Experienced Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic
* Diagnostics-trained preferred, but not essential
* Strong mechanical and electrical skills
* Comfortable using modern workshop equipment and tools
* Professional, reliable, and quality-focused
* Enjoys working in a family-run, supportive environment
