On behalf of a client, we are looking for a Crane Operator. Applicants must hold a UK passport or UK work permit. Role Overview The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pedestal or lattice boom cranes onboard a jack-up vessel engaged in offshore windfarm maintenance activities. The role supports lifting operations involving personnel, equipment, and components associated with wind turbine servicing and repair, ensuring compliance with UK offshore regulations and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Operate deck cranes to perform lifting operations in support of wind turbine maintenance, including components, tools, and personnel transfers where permitted Execute lifts in accordance with approved lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements Conduct pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on crane equipment Communicate effectively with deck crew, riggers, and supervisors using radio and hand signals Monitor weather and sea conditions to ensure safe lifting operations Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant UK offshore safety regulations Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, inspections, and any incidents Assist deck operations as required when crane operations are not underway Qualifications & Requirements: Certifications: Offshore Stage 3 Crane Operator Certification BOSIET/FOET (with CA-EBS) OGUK Medical (or equivalent offshore medical fitness certificate) Banksman/Slinger certification Must hold UK Passport or a UK Work Permit Experience: Proven experience operating cranes offshore on jack-up vessels Experience in offshore windfarm operations or heavy lifting in marine environments is highly desirable Familiarity with dynamic lifting, personnel lifts, and confined deck operations 300T crane experience required Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and risk management Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and adverse weather conditions Excellent communication and teamwork skills High attention to detail and safety compliance Ability to interpret lift plans and technical documentation Additional Information: Vessel type: Jack-Up Vessel (Windfarm Maintenance) Location: UK Waters (Must hold UK Passport or a UK Work Permit) Rotation: 6 weeks on/off
