About The Role
We are seeking to appoint a visionary and commercially astute
Director of Leasehold and Supported Housing
to lead the strategic development and delivery of our non-standard housing portfolio, including supported, leasehold, and shared ownership homes.
This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our commitment to inclusive, high-quality housing across the North West. As Director, you will ensure our services are financially sustainable, compliant, and responsive to the evolving needs of our customers and stakeholders. You will champion innovation, drive performance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement and customer excellence across your teams.
Suitable candidates will hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as the role—although home-based—will involve frequent travel to meetings across the North West of England, including our offices in Liverpool, Manchester, and Accrington.
Responsibilites
Strategy
* Provide strategic leadership and vision for our Supported and leasehold services, to ensure that we deliver our goals and meet the needs of key customers and stakeholders both now and into the future.
* Provide a service that delights our customers and is shown in our Tenant Satisfaction Measures.
Leasehold and Property Management
* Ensure the business and its customers receive professional, cost effective and high quality of management services for Onwards alternative tenures
* Deliver an effective and efficient, commercial property management service.
* Ensure sinking funds and accounts contain suitable levels of balance that will facilitate the effective management of the portfolio.
Supported
* Ensure the service is predicated on high levels of tenancy sustainment and enabling people to live well and independently in their homes for as long as possible with due regard to high quality housing, supported housing interventions, and keeping people out of acute health settings.
* Be the strategic lead and champion for safeguarding across Onward, taking responsibility for ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and compliance.
* Oversee compliance on management/service level agreements and contracts for supported housing schemes.
Collaboration
* In collaboration with your peers within the Property, Operations, Growth and Development teams, ensure the effective delivery of services and that high standards are maintained.
Performance
* Monitor and Report on performance against targets to ensure continuous improvement and ensure suitable arrangements are developed and put in place to allow for external assurance and validation of landlord's and managing agent compliance obligations to its customers.
Management, Leadership and Culture Change
* Manage the budgets, resources and priorities of the team ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to deliver agreed performance targets and customer satisfaction. Drive culture change across the organisation based on core values.
Partnership Working
* Identify, build, and develop a network of external partnerships to ensure that the interests of the organisation are represented. Be an ambassador for the organisation and an advocate for customers.

Qualifications
Essential:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent suitable experience.
* CIH Level 4 or equivalent / or willing to work towards and relevant experience.
