Rolling Stock / Vehicle Prepper / Polisher x 8
We are currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Prepper / Polishers from a body shop, accident repair, automotive, or similar background to join a long-term contract based in Crawley working on rolling stock and train carriages.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy train depot environment offering a competitive rate of £23.00 per hour (Outside IR35), working Monday to Friday on evening shifts from 11:00 to 20:00.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out high-quality machine polishing on train carriage paintwork
Remove surface imperfections including swirl marks, holograms, and light scratches
Prepare surfaces prior to polishing through cleaning, decontamination, and masking
Apply protective finishes including waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings
Ensure all work is completed to a high cosmetic and safety standard
Follow all depot health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher, Bodyshop Polisher, or similar role
Background within automotive, accident repair, rail, or commercial vehicle environments preferred
Ability to use machine polishing equipment confidently and safely
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities in a workshop or depot environment
All candidates will be required to carry out a medical and drugs & alcohol test
