We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with specialised experience in Carpentry and Fit Out to join our team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in the estimation, cost management, and procurement processes for our fit-out projects, with a focus on carpentry and woodworking elements. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quantity surveyor looking to make a significant impact in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for carpentry fit-out projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
* Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Collaborate with project teams, architects, and subcontractors to develop cost-effective solutions and strategies.
* Review project specifications and drawings to ensure compliance and identify any potential cost implications.
* Manage the procurement process for carpentry materials and services, including issuing tenders, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
* Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures as needed.
* Prepare and review subcontractor agreements and manage subcontractor relationships to ensure project success.
* Track and report on project financial performance, including budget vs. actual costs, change orders, and variations.
* Provide regular updates on cost-related matters to project stakeholders and participate in project meetings as required.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on carpentry fit-out projects.
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and costs related to fit-out projects.
