Overview
Smart Power is looking for a qualified electrician to join our team carrying out mainly domestic electrical work across Cottingham, Hull, East Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire.
This is a local role with steady work, good office support and a business that is set up to make life easier for engineers.
Responsibilities
* EV charger installations
* Consumer unit upgrades
* Fault finding and repairs
* Kitchen electrical work
* Sockets and lighting installations
* Small installation projects
* General domestic electrical work
* Occasional light commercial or industrial work where needed
Working Pattern & Package
* Full‑time / part‑time options available
* Flexibility for family or scheduling needs
* £19–£23 per hour (higher rates for Approved Electricians)
* Permanent employed role – not subcontract work
* 40‑hour working week
* Mainly local work
* Van can be arranged if required; personal vehicle reimbursed where agreed
* Support from office and wider Smart Power team
* Pay progression linked to quality, reliability and performance
Minimum Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
* AM2, 18th Edition
* Full UK driving licence
* Domestic electrical experience
* Good fault‑finding skills
* Strong customer service skills
